Software

Minimize
The following codes are recommended for performing statistical analysis in conjunction with the CMH-17 procedures. These procedures are described in detail in Vol. 1, Chapter 8 of the handbook.

CMH-17 STATS Software
The statistical methods included in the Composite Materials Handbook are available in the newly released software - CMH17 STATS. This software (Excel based) is approved for use in CMH-17.
Please note that STAT17 is no longer distributed. For questions, please contact the Secretariat.

NIST Statistical Programs
The following programs were created and are maintained by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). They are recommended by the Handbook's Statistics Working Group for more advanced analysis, and graphical evaluation of data.

RECIPE
RECIPE (REGression Confidence Intervals for PErcentiles) is a FORTRAN program for determining one-sided tolerance limits (in particular, A- and B-basis material property values) for regression models in the presence of between-batch variability.
DATAPLOT
Dataplot is a free, public-domain, multi-platform (Unix, Linux, PC-DOS, Windows NT, etc.) software system for scientific visualization, statistical analysis, and non-linear modeling. The target Dataplot user is the researcher and analyst engaged in the characterization, modeling, visualization, analysis, monitoring, and optimization of scientific and engineering processes. The original version was released by James J. Filliben in 1978 with continual enhancements to present. Note that all of functionality of RECIPE is available in DATAPLOT.
