Distinguished Service Award

We are pleased to present this Distinguished Service Award to Dr. Stephen T. Gonczy for his dedication and hard work on the CMC volume of the Composite Materials Handbook. As champion for the CMH-HDBK-17 cause, he has stirred up interest in the handbook among the greater composite community, and swelled the ranks of our working groups with willing and able contributors. As the official gadfly for the CMC coordination committee, he has worked tirelessly to keep the rest of us on task and (more or less) on target. And, last but not least, Dr. Gonczy has made significant contributions to both the Materials & Processes and the Structural Analysis and Design Codes sections.
