Mostafa Rassaian
Appreciation Award

Larry ILcewicz presented an Appreciation Award to Mostafa on behalf on CMH-17. Mostafa Rassaian has been involved with the CMH-17 Crashworthiness WG since 2006.  In recent years he has become a Co-Chairman, assuming some leadership and teamwork roles.  He is receiving this award in recognition of his continued guidance provided as Chair to the Crashworthiness WG, in particular for initiating, coordinating and spearheading the Numerical Round Robin exercise, which has achieved high visibility within the organization and drawn the active participation of several Industry members.  Mostafa has also helped lead the newer initiatives trying to bound working group directions as related to benchmarking engineering practices for aircraft crashworthiness, which will provide the detailed background for future evelopment of certification guidance.

Ronald Krueger
Appreciation Award

Larry Ilcewicz presented an Appreciation Award to Ronald Krueger on behalf of CMH-17.  Dr. Ronald Krueger has worked hard supporting both the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Committee D-30 on Composite Materials and the Composites Materials Handbook (CMH-17) for many years. In March 2005 he was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by ASTM Committee D30 on Composite Materials for his outstanding effort as Chairman of the Workshop on Computational Fracture Mechanics held in Salt Lake City in March 2004.

Ronald is currently (since 2007) serving as co-chair for the CMH-17 Disbonding and Delamination Task Group. In this role he has contributed to the development and organization of several CMH-17 sections relating to delamination that appear in the latest revision G of the handbook. In addition, he is currently coordinating participants for an international working group to address the technical safety issues associated with skin-to-core disbonding of composite honeycomb sandwich structure used in critical aerospace applications.  Ronald has been both a reliable team player and strong team leader for ASTM D-30 and CMH-17 to advance the missions of both organizations, depending on the particular technical needs.


Dan Adams
Appreciation Award
March, 2011, Kansas City, MO

John Moylan presented an Appreciation Award to Dan Adams on behalf of CMH-17. Dr.  Dan Adams is recognized for his work a co-chair of the CMH17 Testing Working Group and Program Chair for the PMC Forum in February 2011.   He has helped guide handbook content with rigor and enthusiasm.  This insured Revision G content was on time and comprehensive.   Further he worked in the transition to a new management structure for the handbook.
